How many of you started 2024 off with a health goal/New Year’s resolution? Be it something small, “try to eat more veggies”, or one a bit more weighted, “train for a half marathon”, are you actively working towards upholding your intention?
I personally dislike “resolution” and prefer a word with less negative connotation, “goal”. “Goal” implies that you’re setting something achievable, and that you already have or are on your way to having concrete steps in place, while resolution (for me, at least) evokes feelings of success or failure; there’s no gray area.
If you didn’t have this mindset at the start of the year, why not flip the switch now? As we head into the third month of 2024, we still have ten full months left to reach our goals. So set those intentions, revamp your plans, ask a trainer (like me :)) for new/different suggestions to stay accountable, and know that there’s still plenty of time left to achieve.
Suggested Goals!
Eat a more colorful diet
Strength train two days a week
Pick a weekly “plant based” day
Get 7,000-10,000 steps a day, every day
